  • Who is liable when an AI agent gets something wrong?

    Often the business that deploys or provides it, but it depends on your role, sector, jurisdiction and contracts. A lawyer can tell you where you stand; this service gives a best-effort starting point.

  • What does the liability view show?

    For obligations that may apply: the likely enforcing authority or party, the kind of consequence (fines, orders, private claims) and where exposure may cluster. It is indicative, not a legal assessment of your liability.

  • Can you introduce me to a lawyer?

    You can request an introduction from the results page. We aim to reply within 48 hours with independent counsel who work on this in your jurisdiction; we do not endorse or guarantee their services.

  • What does undetermined mean?

    The obligation turns on a fact about your agent that you have not told us, such as whether it handles health data or serves users in a given state. Each one carries a question intended to resolve it. We do not guess, because a guessed no could quietly remove a real obligation.

  • Is this legal advice?

    No, and under no circumstances should you treat it as legal advice. It is a best-effort, automated service with limitations of coverage, timing, interpretation and accuracy, which we are working to improve. It covers regulatory obligations only, and we make no guarantees about its results. Check anything you intend to rely on with a qualified lawyer; the results page can introduce you to one.
